Ventifact Vessel
Shaped by what passes over it.
A ventifact is a stone abraded into shape by wind-driven sand. The vessel borrows the process. A plain cylinder was eroded in simulation for the equivalent of a thousand years, and the result was printed in a composite that feels like the stone it imitates.

Design inspiration
The house wanted an object that had visibly been acted upon. Rather than carve the marks by hand, it let time do the carving, compressed into an afternoon of computation. The vessel holds nothing well and is not meant to. It is a record of weather.
